Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) hosted a webinar highlighting the key findings from the 2023 Regional Summer Assessment (RSA). The purpose of this webinar was to provide information on, and raise awareness of, reliability challenges, concerns, and trends in an effort to assist industry stakeholders and key decision-makers with reducing risk to the regional bulk power system. MRO staff reviewed the results of MRO’s evaluation of recent operating history and performance analysis specific to the MRO region, with a focus on the previous summer season to identify trends most impactful to system reliability, as well as evaluate resource and transmission system adequacy that is necessary to meet projected summer peak demands in 2023.
