Saint Paul, Mn. Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) would like to notify its members of an open position on the MRO Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program Advisory Council (CMEPAC) with a term that will expire on December 31, 2025. Council members must be employees of MRO members and meet the qualifications outlined in the CMEPAC Charter and Policy and Procedure 3: Establishment, Responsibilities, and Procedures of Organizational Groups and MRO Sponsored Representatives on NERC Organizational Groups.
The CMEPAC meets quarterly to discuss compliance-related topics and provides advice and counsel to MRO’s Board of Directors, staff, members, and registered entities in the following areas:
- Development/retirement/application of NERC Reliability Standards
- Risk assessments
- Compliance monitoring and enforcement of applicable standards.
The CMEPAC also identifies and hosts various outreach, such as the Annual CMEP Conference, CMEPAC monthly calls, webinars, and newsletter articles, to provide information and gather feedback from MRO Members. Additionally, serving on the CMEPAC provides the opportunity to participate in the Regional Risk Assessment, identify opportunities for Standard Application Guides, pre-review Quarterly Self-Certifications, provide feedback to MRO staff, and develop relationships.

The MRO CMEPAC will select a nominee to recommend to MRO’s Organizational Group Oversight Committee at a closed special session in the third quarter.
Please note that nominations for expiring or open Industry Sector board and organizational group positions will be solicited later this year. At that time, MRO members will have the opportunity to nominate for open or expiring positions on all organizational groups.
